Founded in 2008 by Peter King, Lupita Nyong’o and Elly Yang, the Kenya Actors guild has gone through 4 different leadership tenures to date with Gilbert Lukalia being a chair after Mr. King and Millicent Ogutu as secretary, taking over from the now Hollywood star, Lupita. Mr. Yang retained his docket as treasurer until in 2016.

This event was held at the Kenya National Theatre Ukumbi Mdogo where the outgoing team of Chris Kamau, Nduta Sialo and Peter Tosh graciously handed over the tools of power to the unopposed trio of Irene Kariuki, Virani Elchi and Haddasah Esther Kahuha.

  1. Riziki Ambrose
  2. Nice Githinji
  3. Biko Nyongesa

With the sole mandate of securing and uniting actors in Kenya, the guild has some of the top tier actors as part of it’s 300 person membership.
