Having started his journey at The National Theatre as an actor; Kigondu went on to work with the Phoenix players as a stage manager, actor and eventually director. He also worked with The Theatre Company for a couple of years as an actor and associate director. He now runs Prevail Arts Company as the Producing Artistic Director. Apart from his acting, directing and producing he is also a prolific playwright - with successful staging of his work at different spaces by different companies around the country. He is passionate about using the arts as a tool for social change; particularly passionate about Waste Management, leadership and mentorship. With more than a dozen years in the arts so far, he intends to venture deeper into theatre and film production.
